Colourless glaze on cobalt and cupric oxide on white porcelain; with a wide mouth, convex lip, and recessed flat, circular foot surrounded by a protruding convex foot rim; painted with a wrap-around scene of three figures representing the three main religions (Confucianism, Buddhism and Daoism) standing around an open vessel, inscribed in regular script with the title Sansuan tu 三酸圖 (‘Three Vinegar Tasters’) followed by Ran Shuzi tu 冉樹滋塗 (‘Painted by Ran Shuzi’), the foot with concentric rings.
